Celebrating Halloween ~ Trick or Treat

Celebrating October  Celebrating Life   Hi Everyone,   We are in October. Fall is definitely kicking in. All the trees in the Nothern hemisphere are continuing to turn into oranges, yellows and reds in all of their different array of colors, as they farewell their leaves back into nature. Everything around us is changing. The cool refreshing wind is so delightful to inhale and to feel it brushing against the skin. There is another energy in the air. It is one of my favorite times of the year after Spring. How is it for you? October is the month we celebrate Halloween. I have always loved Halloween since I was a little girl. It is so fun to think of what custome you are going to create or wear. Then it was always so exciting to go from door-to-door trick or treating, receiving all this wonderful candy. You never knew what you were going to get! It was so much fun!! Even as an adult I have had fun creating customes and almost won gran...

HAPPY FALL EQUINOX & NEW MOON ECLIPSE

Happy Fall Equinox & New Moon Eclipse   Hi Everyone   It's September and with it comes the change of seasons. The weather gets cooler and more delightful. Slowly the leaves of the trees begin spiraling slowly, gently down to lay to rest on the ground. It is also the month we move into the Fall Equinox on September 22. It is a great time to do a celebration, a ritual or meditation prompting for a great rest of the year. We are also experiencing the intense energies of the New Moon Eclipse that came up this past Sunday. A time to reflect and reboot. Have you been feeling it? How is everything going for you? With all the changes happening individually and globally, it can feel very overwhelming and confusing at times.      That is why it's very important to take time out, especially from the news. I never watch the news, I become aware of what is happening, yet there is so much going in my own life. I choose to focus on the things that mak...

Celebrating 43 Years of Life

Celebrating 43 years Swiss Alps ~ Groenenbach, Allgau Today is my 43rd Anniversary. I remember clearly 43 years ago yesterday when I arrived to the most amazing healing clinic in Grönenbach , Allgäu, Germany. My battle with alcohol had come to an end and I was ready to change my life. However, I arrived to Munich three days prior to entering the clinic. Immediately I thought I do not have a problem since I was sitting in with new friends from Argentina with 7 whiskeys in front of me and I was not drunk. Nevertheless, 3 days later I found myself in great need of help. I was wondering where I was going to land, since I had had been in other not so pleasant places before seeking help. To my surprise this place was heaven on Earth. I arrived in the most expensive taxi, I have ever paid in my entire life, since I had missed the last train from Munich to Groenenbach. A kind gentleman in his forties, received me with a smile on his face and said, "Ich bin deinen Patin," (I am ...

Tribute to My Mother

Tribute to My Mother Helen Eileen Overa Thompson de Brose My mother and I...  the Beginning It's been 2 years today July 21st, since my mother passed away, Helen Eileen Overa Thompson de Brose. I will never forget that day. she had been in a nursing home for quite some time due to dealing with dementia and other issues. the last years I had spent time every week doing video calls with her through Zoom, and I used to sing to her "Over the Rainbow" every time, her favorite song. She many times responded with tears in her eyes, saying, "it's so nice." Thank goodness she was always cognitive, you could have a wonderful conversation with her and it was always pleasant to talk to her, all the way to the end.  However, she did not remember who you were sometimes or where she was or what she was doing. She forgot everything that had happened a moment ago.  I also tried to call her every other day and just tell her that I loved her and would also sing to her over the...

Happy July & Misummer Dream

Happy July Midsummer Dream   We are in the middle of July. Summer has been wonderful so far, with some twists and turns and some really hot days, yet still fun and amusing. How has it been for you so far? We are now enjoying the Farmers Market, which is very petite here, with several new vendors, some selling the best yummiest peaches I have ever tried, others have a delightful sourdough bread, and many have freeze dried items which seems to be the fad at this time. What activities outside of work are you enjoying?   Sometimes we forget to go outside and play. It is so important to have balance in life. Many times, we get so wrapped up in trying to make things happen that we forget to allow things to happen, to just sit back and enjoy the ride of life instead of stressing about it all the time, sometimes to the point of burnout.    overstressed? How can we find more balance in life, between work and play, sleep and exercise a...
