Celebrating Halloween ~ Trick or Treat

Celebrating October
Celebrating Life

Hi Everyone,

We are in October. Fall is definitely kicking in. All the trees in the Nothern hemisphere are continuing to turn into oranges, yellows and reds in all of their different array of colors, as they farewell their leaves back into nature.

Everything around us is changing. The cool refreshing wind is so delightful to inhale and to feel it brushing against the skin. There is another energy in the air. It is one of my favorite times of the year after Spring. How is it for you?

October is the month we celebrate Halloween. I have always loved Halloween since I was a little girl. It is so fun to think of what custome you are going to create or wear. Then it was always so exciting to go from door-to-door trick or treating, receiving all this wonderful candy. You never knew what you were going to get!

It was so much fun!! Even as an adult I have had fun creating customes and almost won grand prizes twice. On one occasion I dressed up as Catwoman from Batman, which was one of my favorite customes. Nobody recognized me. I used to pass my longe extended fingernails in front of people's faces and meow.

Who are you? They'd say, truly not knowing who I was. It was such a thrill.  What has been your favorite Halloween custome? Let me know.

Meeeooowwww...

Life is a stage, and we are merely players,
William Shakespeare once wrote.

Speaking of wearing different costumes, we all play different roles in life. Each and every role is very unique and special in its own way. It is so important to embrace all parts of ourselves; the different roles we've had to play through life, depending on the varied circumstances we are experiencing.

Some people have extreme drama in their lives, while others have worked through the drama and are looking to live with less drama and more joy in their lives. It truly is a journey and there is no judgment to were each and every one of us is at this moment.

Why not start creating more comedies than tragedies for ourselves, letting go of the drama and stepping into doing things that are more fun and let go of the attachments to what no longer serves us and is no longer there.

A role that I love to play is as an artist and a writer, my book "Yara the Tree Whisperer" is finally finished. We are putting the last pieces of the puzzle together and it will be available in November. Woo hoo!

Here are a couple the final illustrations.

Meditation & Healing Tips

We recently experienced the full moon a week ago. The energy was and still is incredibly strong right now. It is coming in like torrents of light, waterfalls of light washing and cleaning everything that no longer is needed on this planet. We will be seeing a lot of chaos and a lot of changes outwardly but in truth what is really happening behind the scenes that are unseen, is that all darkness is being escorted out of this earth plane.

This new beginning on Earth is starting to sprout and eventually will fully bloom. It is very important to remain as much as you can in the light, always allowing your emotions to surface, then going back into doing things you enjoy. Even when you do not feel very well imagine surrounding yourself with a beautiful bubble of white light, cuddle up and listen to some soft music.

It may take several years for the global changes to take place.  We are in the initial stages of Awakening, freeing us from pain and suffering and moving into a more delightful, uplifting era. Never lose hope.

Again, what can you do today to enlighten your life? to make it a more joyful, happier.  We need to start planting these new seeds, that will eventually bloom and make this world become even more colorful.

Celebrating May & Mother's Day

Celebrating May & Mother's Day   It's May already. We are almost halfway into the year. Can you believe it? Time flies by.  Everything is fully blooming right now, offering us an array  of  bright and beautiful colors in a diversity of shapes and forms.  Nature can truly be mesmerizing and enchanting. This is the month we celebrate Mother's Day. In Guatemala it is always celebrated on the 10th of May regardless of the day it falls  in . In the US it is held on the second Sunday in May,  which is this coming Sunday May 11th. This day and perhaps every day  it   is important and valuable to celebrate our mothers who gave us life.  Life blesses me with an  incredible mother. Even though many times throughout life we had our differences.  S h e was quite a remarkable woma n  sand wish I would've gotten to know her better. I really miss her sometimes. Many times she comes to me in my dreams. So...

Tribute to My Mother

Tribute to My Mother Helen Eileen Overa Thompson de Brose My mother and I...  the Beginning It's been 2 years today July 21st, since my mother passed away, Helen Eileen Overa Thompson de Brose. I will never forget that day. she had been in a nursing home for quite some time due to dealing with dementia and other issues. the last years I had spent time every week doing video calls with her through Zoom, and I used to sing to her "Over the Rainbow" every time, her favorite song. She many times responded with tears in her eyes, saying, "it's so nice." Thank goodness she was always cognitive, you could have a wonderful conversation with her and it was always pleasant to talk to her, all the way to the end.  However, she did not remember who you were sometimes or where she was or what she was doing. She forgot everything that had happened a moment ago.  I also tried to call her every other day and just tell her that I loved her and would also sing to her over the...

Celebrating Father's Day & Summer Solstice

! Happy Father's Day & Summer Solstice   Hi Everyone,   We are midway into June. Summer is here! It is nice to see everyone coming out of their caves, riding bicycles, playing tennis, golf and so many other sports Yes, pool included which is where I dive almost in every day to refresh from the heat.  The heat is really on sometimes. The sun is flaming strong these days warming us sometimes more than we'd like. Sometimes it feels like we are about to melt. In some places the temperature is rising over one hundred degrees Fahrenheit, 38 degrees C.     That is why a good splash in a cool lake, the ocean or a pool can be so inviting even an ice-cold shower is soothing when it is the only thing available.   How is your Summer getting started? We are also celebrating Father's Day this month. What are you doing to celebrate this time? Whether you are a father yourself and/or are celebrating your father. What are ways you feel th...
